Hi Zada,

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. I'm delighted that you went to the trouble of obtaining and reading the book and am so happy that you enjoyed it so much. i'm glad I managed to succeed in 'sucking you in' to the story and hope that you were able to live it with robert as he made his way through the journal. That reveiw from Lutz Barz was so very gratifying to receive and showed just how 'in-dpeth' he read and absorbed the book.

Thanks again and hope you might enjoy the sequel as well which will appear later this year.

Best regards

Brian

About Me:
Mature female author. Writing about abusive situations, and offering hope to others who are where I was, through fictionalizing my own life events. Contributor to the new anthology, "Forever Friends"

Favorite reading material
When I have the time to read, I like to read books by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, or anyone else who can bring me entertainment that makes my heart pound.
If you are an author, what do you write about?
"Mother's Journals: parts 1, 2 & 3" is my first novel. It covers 3 generations of women in one family. Margery dies, leaving her journals to her only daughter, Mary. Mary learns of the many trials and hardships her mother had endured and secrets that no one spoke of during her lifetime. Mary's neice, Ellen has trials of her own, and torrid love affairs. This book may prompt a few cold showers, and is intended for a mature audience only due to some graphic content.

This was written to illustrate the difference between both the good and the bad relationships, as well as how women of another generation dealt with trials of abuse, rape and family problems.

Most of the experiences I have written about have happened to me, to others I have known and many I now know.

Some people do not understand what abuse is, and this was my way of offering a little education while providing entertainment.

I have also been blogging on my website: http://www.freewebs.com/zadaconnaway/ in an effort to stop at least a little of the abuse that exists in this world, and promote safe behavior--especially for women. Children are of course a prime concern as well.

I am a contributing author to the new anthology, "Forever Friends". World Wide Writers present: Forever Friends, compiled and edited by Shelagh Watkins.

A collection of short stories and poems from around the globe. Something for everyone, from young to old; stories of friendship and love. You can get the information on content, see who contributed and order your copy here: http://www.lulu.com/content/2816139
Do you have pets?
Dogs, cats, chickens, cows and one two legged male campanion.

Welcome authors!

Please feel free to tell us a little about any books you have written, and even what you may be working on at this time. This is a site to promote reading and books, so go ahead and do a little crowing here!

Healthcare Reform

I cannot believe how long it has been! I have been busy doing other things which means there has not been much writing going on at my house.

Healthcare reform information has me puzzled. The more I listen to the rhetoric, the more confused I become. The tax payers will bear the burden of this no matter what. I think it boils down to how much it will cost, and who will be controlling it. Another czar, perhaps. And how will the decisions be made on who gets what care?

I have long thought that fr… Continue

Special Days

Valentine's Day is over now, New Year's too. President's Day, to celebrate presidential birthdays has just passed,

Now we have saint Patrick's Day and Easter to look forward to. And then we also have The Fourth of July (Independence Day), Labor Day, Memorial Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas. I may have forgotten a few, like the birthday of the Marine Corps, Jeremiah Johnson's birthday, Groundhog Day etc.. Don't forget your own birthday and that of loved ones!

I think in a… Continue
