This is the new cover for the revised edition of Just North of Luck, now under the L&L Dreamspell logo. Its release is set for early September.
Winery to host Whitfield at The Duplin Winery
September 12, 2009 from 3pm to 5:30pm
The Duplin Winery has invited Susan Whitfield back for a book signing for her latest mystery, Hell Swamp, set along Black River in Pender County. Come and visit with her while you drink a sample of Black River Red in the tasting room.

- Geez! I love to read! I'm not sure I can pick a favorite.
- If you are an author, what do you write about?
- I have written three mysteries in the Logan Hunter mystery series. Genesis Beach was set along the North Carolina Crystal Coast and Just North of Luck was set in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hell Swamp is set along Black River in Pender County where I grew up.
- Do you have pets?
- My beloved Lexus was a cancer victim. When I wrote about her in Genesis Beach, I had no idea I'd lose her so soon.
