Yes, they have already started. I suppose the retailers are trying to get a head start on their competition. With the economy in the toilet, the early bird will surely be the one to make sales.

They are saying that retail sales are in a terrible slump, and one cannot blame them for trying to get their sales up.

Do you have a holiday gift giving strategy in the works?

I offer discounts if people buy in quantity: say 3 or 4 books at one time.

I was thinking about making up a small booklet with all types of chocolate chip cookie recipes in it and give one if they purchase a book.

If not the booklet, then I try to find something that is related to chocolate chip cookies to give as a special gift if they purchase my book.

BTW my book is Life is Like Making Chocolate Chip Cookies.

It is now over the hump, and it was a good day. I have been having trouble getting on line as much as usual due to a 'cranky' computer and equally crabby male wanting my attention! So my time is sporadic, and I am glad you reminded me that this had been posted. I was hoping for a little more input, though. Your ideas are great, by the way!
